Talked with the HR guy at the distribution center in Lubbock after putting in an app. Like any job outside of what I'm doing right now, it's going to be another relocation nightmare. That small fact aside, I'm just trying to find a position that's actually worth the stress/f-ups involved with moving.
From what I've seen and heard about them off-hand, it's mainly store deliveries in the dead of night and it's all on pallets. The few drivers I've talked to don't seem all that stressed.

Any other things I should know about them before flapping my yap to the HR guy about being 100% sure about getting on over there?

You want a little mustard and bread with the bologna?
Maybe nobody who's seen this thread knows anything about them.
I do know that the stores, at least around here, seem to go through managers very quickly.

A lot of auto parts joints go thru a lot managers. When I worked at pep boys they would come in all full of fire and get chewed up and spit out the back door. lol

I see O'Reilys trucks on the Ohio Turnpike 48' trailers which are probably hard to naviagte on some of there lots which is why they go at night time, because during the day it's probably not possible to get the truck on the lot and they have the full blown lift gates not the tuck under one's, but the one's that hang on the back of the trailer.

I'm just trying to see what the going pay rate is for these guys. I do know they have at least 2-3 consecutive days off a week. Seeing as how dreaded, relocation is inevitable for any of these jobs, I've got to make sure the jump will be well worth it before I start breaking my bones on the moving truck. (Moving, you got to be a real, nutcase to look forward to it.)
I've been trying to talk to some of the trucks I see going warp-speed through Clovis if they happen to stop at the Love's here. But so far, it's been populated by the McMegaCarriers on a 10-20 hour break.

If you really want to know, you could go to a store and ask when they get deliveries then camp out until the driver arrives at 3am. Stalking, I mean, research!

"Who is this freak?!?" **gets manhandled by staff**

Just part of the homework for these new companies. The "shoot from the hip" philosophy could end up being a costly one in the job-jump process.
