Thanks to previous recommendations from Rerun and others, I am waiting and hoping that sometime late Winter 2011 -March/April(?) -after the one year anniversary from receiving my failure to maintain control citation (###### ice caught me off guard..lol), I will be able to attend a CDL school and then have a better chance of obtaining employment as a driver. That January, 2010 citation is a pita in my trying to reach my goal of a driving career.... dontcha' know? I really hope after 14-15 months of citation free driving someone (or anyone!).will hire me! Guuuuurr... :disgust:

Anyways, enough ballyhooing and to my question: I have been researching some of the cdl training schools in Ohio, so my question pertains to those drivers who have attended a cdl school in Ohio.
Which program did you attend, would you (or would you not) recommend it, and why? The four schools closest to me (Wooster, OH) are:

    Hamrick's in Medina, OH
    Big Rig Trucking School
    in Canton
    North Central
    in Mansfield
    Great Lakes Truck Driving School
    in Columbiana.

I am also considering Roadmaster in Columbus, Southern State Community College in Hillsboro or SWIFT's company program for flatbed division if they accept me, as Swift would be my preferred option to start. Oh, say what you want, Swift critics.:biggrin_25522:
Oh, Roehl ("have to be 5 years accident free") and TMC ("3 years free") are out. Maverick and Swift recruiters both stated (but true?) "at least 1 year before consideration."

Thanks for showing me the finger and pointing me to a recommended school.
