What are you hauling in the reefer? Where are you going? Cross country, regional or city? Produce or frozen foods? I always drove a 270" wb Pete and KWs. There were some tight fits, but nothing to bad. But, if you are sticking to one certain area, an old area with tiny docks made for horse and buggy, you may want something shorter, 240" or less. All depends.

Are you planning on going to Canada?
California?
Also the closer the front off the trailer is to the back off the sleeper, the better the MPG.ArmGut389 Thanks this. -
Dedicated lane or all over? Long is nice but a bit heavier, more difficult in smaller spaces, so be honest with your skill level and customers requirements. Short is opposite, 244" is max for Canada before you have to start buying permits and calculating trailer wheelbase yada yada yada... if you go with 244 DO NOT get the 78" sleeper you will hit your sleeper in turns if you are trying to get more than 11500 or so on steer axle. I would recommend 72" maximum if 244". More wheelbase = less safe parking options, everyone wants to park near you and you're constantly looking for potential hood thieves. I am happy with my 244 but if I stayed in USA all the time where wheelbase isn't a legal issue I would get probably 270-280.
