2011 freightliner cascadia DD15 with things fixed already. I was wondering if this will be a good buy. Thoughts?

    Replaced at 130k miles:
    -Temp sensor
    -Turbo charger
    -sealing flange
    -a/throttle intake

    Replaced at 340k miles:
    - Delta P Sensor

    Replaced at 430k miles:
    - Water Pump

Will ask for dyno results, oil samples, and ecm output.

    Added:

This came from big fleets crete carrier that buy new until warranty expired. Warranty on engine/turbo/transmission/axles at 24/months/240k miles(whichever comes first) wear/tear (excluding the engine block or casing unless caused by part of the internal lubricated parts)

Since it came from just one owner (crete carrier), it looks like the service done is always reported. The other trucks they're selling had the same reports its just that this was the cleanest one of them according the the maintenance records.

It does not have the SCR. Has optional coverage of DPF/EGR for 12 months or 100 miles whichever comes first.

    470k total miles
    Recap tires good condition
    Annual dot safety inspection
    New PM Service
Cleaned DPF, Reinstall with new gaskets performed REGEN
    Air leaks rechecked for leaks

    Purchase price 59k

Is a turbo charger and water pump a minor replacement? That sounds like an expensive repair.

The radiator, I have to get the fluids checked. Or maybe ask for pressure/dye test for leaks as well as oil samples for internal leaks in engine?

Need a lot more info before we can pass judgment fairly, how many total miles? What is the condition of the tires/brakes? Is that list ALL the work that has been done? Has any if the emissions system been serviced or replaced? You did not say anything about the EGR/DPF being serviced or replaced, if they have not they are over due and very expensive. Does it have SCR?(some 2011's do not) Is any warranty available? Does said warranty cover emissions system? You also did not mention the purchase price, so we have no idea if its a good buy or not. Back to the warranty, if they don't have the confidence to stand behind their product in writing, why should you have the confidence to buy it from them?

I would subtract the price of new tires from the price and get rid of the recaps.

Those are a good set. I was also thinking of the Yokahama TY517 MC2.

Just for clarification, according to the driver of a red Crete Cascadia, Crete had avoided purchasing SCR equipped trucks and bought new Internationals with Maxxforce instead after the other OEMs stopped selling non DEF trucks.

Other trucking companies also did this.
