Went to pick up load of lumber, got loaded and tarped, forklift driver comes and says cant leave because some wood is showing, so i have too unload. Very frustrating!
Apparently i needed 8ft drop lumber tarps and only had 6ft tarps.

Said i was the third truck to have too unload because of wrong tarps!
Is there a one size fits all? Seems like the weight keeps going up? so i cant keep carrying steel, lumber and smoke tarps.

So, my question is will 8ft lumber tarps work for everything. I NEED TO BE ABLE TOO SCALE 48 THOUSAND#.

I got away with just lumber tarps for years. If buying new get extr row of d rings about 1 ft down from top that way they will work for steel plate.9 ft drops should cover everything.I have 10 ft for my step.Add a couple of 28x16ft when you can afford it-makes life much easier

Were are the best place to get them? also is there water proof canvas or such?

So, what is the be spacing going for d-rings going up tarp? 8-4-2?

a 3 peice set of 8 foot drops will do anything you want. Just pay extra for a few more rows of d-rings. If you can afford them, go with the kevlar tarps. They are sooooo very nice, but pricey and a fraction of the weight of regular tarps.

Edit: I like to have d-rings every 2 feet down the sides.

The last set of lumber tarps I bought came from sharps tarps in grants pass Or.My steeltarps came from shur-co ft.dodge Ia.I believe there are a bunch of locations for shur-co.Spacing sounds about right with extra row at 1 ft.I used to get a discount at sharps because I was leased to combined transport. They were already made the way I wanted them. You can get them in different weights but the lighter they are the easier they are to tear. You should have a tarp shop in nashville-runs around 800-1000 dollars.Be sure to get patch kit and can of glue-big can.Keep rags, carpet old gloves, anything to protect from sharp edges.Oh yeah, big roll of duct tape.good luck

My last trailer had 5 or 6 foot drop tarps with extentions you could clip on to get to 8 foot. They were nice, I only had to use the extentions once, everything else was good with the shorter drop which makes tarping alot easier if you not trying to fold 4 feet of tarp up every time.
