My blowby tube actual has a drip to it and the crankcase ventilation module that it connects to is covered in oil. The big lines that come down from front valve cover and attach to it appear to be leaking somewhere as there is greasy dust buildup all over it in spots. Dont think its the ventilation module. No codes and if i lay oil cap upside down on oil fill hole and rev motor it doesnt blow it off but seems to be consuming a bit of oil lately and making a mess underneath truck. Any ideas?? Thanks in advance upload_2019-6-21_17-7-19.png upload_2019-6-21_17-7-19.jpeg
    Thanks in advance

What you are seeing is not uncommon IMO. Older engines that work hard it is typical to see buildup and seepage in these areas. I would steam it off and monitor for continued leaks. Might consider replacing the tube from the valve cover to the module first. The tube is made for ease of removal and does not have the highest level of technology when it comes to sealing. They are not the thickest or the most durable either.

Should wet oil be coming down through that tube and leaking out making a mess?thinking about removing the ventilation module and seeing if the filter is replaceable and maybe adding some heavy oil to thicken it up

The EPA 10 engines that had a crankcase filter have a oil pressure driven centrifugal spinner to separate the oil from vapor and return the oil to the crankcase. Either you have a leak or you actually have excessive blowby that is overwhelming the spinner. There is no filter element. Thicker oil will not help longterm.

EPA 13 and newer use electric ccv spinner. EPA 10 does not.

Never heard of it. I have never had pour in potions that work long term, therefore I do not recommend them.
