Anyone having problems with the Chinese crap that comes in a box that is identically the same as a sanden a/c compressor? Here's the deal boss orders a few a/c compressors from rush pb.he orders sanden but the sent these Chinese junk and said there sanden which there not because there's no names or numbers anywhere. anyone that has used a sanden knows they mark them in plain site so here's the deal we needed the truck so decided to run it now keeps losing 134 every week holds a vac for a couple hours have die in the system can't find any trace of a leak anywhere with the uv lite all o rings new accumulater new checked the evaparator nothing so I am assuming the compressor is burning the oil and freon anyone had this happen before?I normally have no issues with finding leaks put this ones a new one.a second question anyone used the kit online to charge the a/c system with nitragen? If so pros cons kinda thinking about getting one.thanks in advance

I haven't come across these knockoffs, but I have had the MADE IN USA compressors fail.
So this time I got one marked Made in P.R.C (China) and I'm gonna give it a try.

Been a few months and so far so good. Actually it looks better made than the USA stuff, but I hear what your saying.
There are a lot of knockoffs out there...so I try to always buy from a reputable source.

The no names are the same, just not branded, all made at the same place. The parts suppliers that move alot of them buy the no names by the container load at a deep discount.

Nitrogen is the surest method of leak detection but when the squeaky boss won't buck up what do ya do? When I get a repeat like this I overcharge the system until the leak shows and then reclaim the charge. Often it's a hose seeping that won't show the dye or oil.

I use to use nitrogen where I worked, I liked it a lot, but you still had the mystery cases, that took a couple tries to get it right. I liked it more than the sniffer or dye though. The regulator is where the get you, the nitrogen is cheap.

I bought a Sanden look alike off E-bay for a fraction of the cost, works great, and I agree with Bender, I think they're the same. The biggest problem I've had are the expansion valves, they leak where the tube fittings are flanged in the inside of the block, and these are OEM, I finally started welding them up to solve the problem.

Most of anything is made in China now a days.
And some company are making a mint on cheep junk and selling it at a huge prices.
Looked for a tool for helping to redo a motor at one place and the tool cost $45 dollars(made in China)
BUT at another different store, the same exact tool with the same exact part number stamped in to the tool was only $9 dollars(made in China):biggrin_2555:

That is what ya called ripping off the customer :biggrin_25513:
