Hello drivers I’m looking into Oakley transport and I’m wondering how is the drug test process…long story short I went to a party with some of my good friends ate some food and sweets they had out you know just grab and go finger foods nothing major come to find out the sweets had thc inside smh so yes I’ve gave myself time to get my urine clean but my hair isn’t clean yet this has been about a month ago I’m looking to get into tankers coming from flatbed and I truly just need to know does Oakley transport test hair for the drug test ? I’ve never been in a situation like this in my entire truck career 4 years in please can someone help me out with this question I asked the recruiter she says she can not answer that question which I do not understand why not I do not want to waste my time or theirs

@lual should be able to answer that for you.

Asking thevrecruiter about drug tests is like asking the bank manager about his robbery procedures.

The recruiter isn't an expert on the company. They are the filter of applicants.

Oakley was doing a hiring freeze , it's been super slow there. If you just want to haul food grade tanker , bynum and flowtrans will hire a dead man. Even guys with roll overs . Both start at 55 CPM .

When I hired on there -- I don't remember doing a hair follicle test.

To be fair, however -- that was then, & this is now.

    Things may have changed.

The tanker side of the fleet is ok; however, I would avoid the reefer side like the plague.

I have been told by my recruiter. Since they started getting in new trucks. Volvos and Pete's. They was told to start back up hiring people. But I have a feeling it's probably still limited.

NEVER ask a recruiter a drug test question...RED FLAG on you.

You should be fine. Hair test or not.

I think you should be open and honest with the recruiter. How can you start a lasting relationship that isn’t based on trust. Just let them know how sorry you are for your past indiscretions and that’ll it’ll never happen again, at least not until you quit.

That’ll show good faith on your part and they’ll be chomping at the bit to hire you, before Indian River snatches you out from under them.
