i am giving serious consideration to moving my truck to Stage Call out of Az/Nashville, anybody have any current info on them. I have talked to them and it all sounds interesting but I'm having trouble making the numbers add up to what they say. Please don't tell me about what you heard. I want to know what you know from your own experience. Hopefully recent experience. Thanks guys.

Is this like doing concerts & MMA events and such? I was looking at going to work for these guys that do that out of Phoenix. The Operations Manager seemed pretty stressed out of his mind, and like the ultra micro manager. From what I gathered a large, or at least a fair amount of the compensation was by the customers in the form of layover pay.
I thanked him for his time.

I've been leased onto Stage Call for a little over 6 years, you will not find a better company to work for.
My yearly mileage is low, I run approximately 50 - 70,000 a year.
While on tour you are paid by the day, depending on what tour your on, you may only run 1000 miles a week on some tours more on others.
On top of your daily rate of pay you get hotel buyouts which vary depending on the tour. You also get 100% of the fuel surcharge
We have owner operators that have been leased on here since the company was founded in the 80's also company drivers that have been here 20+ years.
It's not a job for everyone as your gone from home for long periods of time, but I guarantee you will not work for a better bunch of people.
Dispatchers don't BS you, they are up front with everything, you will never ( well I never have had an issue ) have to worry about being paid, if your paperwork is in by Monday, your paid the following Friday.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

I've always wondered about those film crew guys and whether there is any money in it. I used to see a company called Haddads around NYC. Probably a similar outfit.

Yes you can have riders, as far as hotel goes the guys on WWE get hotel rooms but no hotel buyout. Most tours you get a hotel buyout to sleep in your truck which is paid daily while on tour.

    Go online to Stagecall.com
Think there's an on line application there
