Likely, things were probably thin for a while and Sandy just gave them a way out legally.

I do know that they we having problems, a friend of mine left them a couple of months ago because he said that he "could see the writing on the wall" ... sorry to see jobs lost, weather it was the storm or not I have the feeling many companies who were on the edge of the cliff may use Sandy as an excuse to "Cash Out".

The key word is "are" ( on the edge) and not were........ The list is long and surprising too. Look at USA's last quarterly......operating ratio of 114% ? It cost him $1.14 to gross a buck? How long do you think that will last?

Depending on the election and the Bush tax cuts I believe we may see quite a few more fold up. Many folks are already wringing their hands over O'bummers health care law. Toss in the Bush cuts expiring ( maybe ) and that maybe all it takes to knock the house of cards down........
