I drove for Nu-Way for 4 years I really enjoyed it, the only reason Im not there now is the dedicated account I was hired for was bought out and they didnt have anything else close. They run dedicated accounts and thats about it to my knowledge. If anyone would happen to be considering them I would most certainly recommend them.:biggrin_25519:

We work out of the Taft, LA (New Orleans area) facility where they only haul Acetylene gas for Praxair. This is their specialized devision which they also have in the Bloomington, IL area. As for the Taft job it is mostly team loads and if you don't have a team mate they will hook you up. My wife and I run as a team and we run an average of 7200 miles every week. The areas that we deliver to are Newark, Jessup, Md, Indianapolis, Cleveland, St. Louis and Chicago with some other customers here and there. All runs are out and back/drop and hooks and half of those loads you will need to process the trailer (1 hour to do this process). No waiting in truck stops for that next load. Terminal manager is an ex-driver and excellent to work for I could say a lot more good about him but......... Home time with them is work 3 weeks get 5 days or work 4 weeks get 7 days.

    The bad:
Leased equipment enough said. They expect you to run, if you have hours left by god they will use them (heaven for some hell for others), Nu-way pulls Praxair trailers 30% of them are from the late 60s or early 70s, they have no problem painting them, putting on new tires and brakes but most everything else on these trailers is still old can you say pre-trip. Lastly home time if you live close to a customer or New Orleans great for you but anything else may be a challenge. Make sure you negotiate home time before you sign on the dotted line.

    Hope this helps.
