I just purchase a 1999 IH 4700 to play with here at home, AC not working, Run a jumper / hot wire to compressor and it works. I have power to my low pressure switch, jump pressure swith / no power
Where does the wire with power out from pressure swith go??
Problem seems to be between pressure switch and compressor???
    thanks dennis

Hi, I think the low pressure switch only runs a relay for the clutch power. I'd check the relay and breaker.

Yep, rrw811 is right. The low and high pressure switches trigger the a/c clutch relay. The circuit I see has clutch power going starting at the a/c off/on switch, then it goes through the freeze switch to the relay terminal 30. Now power goes through the relay to 87a, so the clutch should get power without the relay energized. The relay is energized from the low and high pressure switches. Pressure too low and the low pressure switch closes which triggers the relay to open terminal 30 to 87a killing power to the clutch. A/C pressure too high the high pressure switch closes and does the same. Check for power to terminal 30 at the relay, no power I would say the freeze switch is the problem, which is rather common anyway. Hope this helps.

Cannot locate the relay??? My owners manual doesn't show any fuse or relay related to the AC system.
Not really had the time to dig into. Sure it's a small issue.

I think those are behind the panel in front of the pass seat?

I have the panel off and their is relays, but nothing AC related if they are labeled right. May have to take a trip to the Dealer
    thanks dennis
