no experience cdl a need job asap

What are the endorsement tests like? Is it just a pen and paper test or do you have to physically demonstrate things?

 

Multiple choice questions and answers.
Just memorize the answers is all there is to it.

That's it? So you could probly pass those with memorization?

 

That's the way I did it and other truckers do it. It's not illegal.

 

As you have probably already found -- the CDL job market sux pretty bad, of late.

With that said...I have in the recent past witnessed job ads for NEW CDL HOLDERS hiring out of Columbus, GA from the following "starter" carriers:

• TMC (flatbed)
• McElroy Truck Lines (flatbed)
• Roehl (dry van/reefer/flatbed/Conestoga)
• Swift
• Knight
• Schneider

Since Columbus, GA is home to the (former) Fort Benning -- savvy carriers like to sometimes recruit/hire exiting veterans there. Because of their military experiences -- they generally make for good new hires.

Any/all the above have groomed, thought-out dedicated training programs for brand new CDL holders -- & will turn you into something of a professional driver.

One of the trucking schools there I believe has affiliation with Stevens Transport -- yet another starter carrier that hires from that area.

There are still other worthwhile choices out there -- but these have all been hiring recently in the Columbus area.

What's that outfit that runs flowers out to Kalifornia ? Florida Beauty I think.
I think they will hire anybody

 

Florida Beauty and Armellini both do.
Both now require experience though.
Saw a Florida Beauty truck delivering fresh flowers in Las Vegas yesterday.

 

Get the hazmat and tanker endorsement also. You may need these even pulling dry van & reefers. Having those endorsements may keep you from missing a load.
