Ok, saw this from a supposed driver. I can't find anything in upcoming rules, but according to this guy in a video he posted, effective March 1 of this year, drivers who relieve themselves via use of a bottle or jug(I don't want to go into detail) can receive a violation if they get inspected and the officer sees the bottle. He went on to say getting caught chucking one from your window is a violation. Now anyone with half a brain already knows, you throw anything from a vehicle, that's littering, but the other part. Has anyone heard of this? I mean if I have to go bad and there isn't a rest area or truck stop handy, I will stop and get between the trailer and drives to ahem "cool off the tires" and lord knows how may jugs and bottles I've seen littering the roadways. But other than the littering thing, is that other thing a bunch of BS and if not, what would the violation be? I know a few drivers who carry gallon jugs and hey if that's what they do then so be it. It will be on them.

So if I have a gallon jug of lemonade in my cab.... is the officer going to make assumptions or will there be a sniff test? Asking for a friend.

I watched that video. He seemed like a little soy boy mad at truckers. I agree it’s disgusting to toss out pee jugs, but I could never figure out why guys don’t pour out the piss then toss the jug in the trash. OTR there is usually an RV dump at rest areas. Anyways obviously this guy has an axe to grind. I find it more disgusting the guys that piss in the parking lot and then I gotta walk through it.

So much this. I remember just starting out otr and I stopped at the Spaceway in MS. Got up next morning to go in for coffee and use restroom. I walked between two trucks parked on either side of light pole, trash can at base of pole. When i came back to truck, same two trucks parked, but now there was a bottle of obvious urine and a small tied off bag laying on the ground next to it. And we wonder why parking is getting harder and harder to find, even at truck stops.

I've heard that myth since I started driving, and that's been 10 plus years. I got stopped by DOT. A couple of times with piss jugs in the truck, never got a citation. Of course if you chuck one out the window it's a violation. It's called littering.
