In other words it's a typical pilot.

It used to be a Dad's Travel Center. Had a nice sit-down restaurant, a unique convenience store/gift shop, a nice driver's lounge with comfy reclining leather sofa chairs, etc.

Now it is like any other pilot/J. And, inexplicably, they put in a subway even though there was already one right across the street!

This isn't a brand new Pilot, it's another good truckstop that they decided to ruin.

Have you noticed 20% of drivers have an incredibly hard time walking from the fuel island to the store? I would say its pilot meeting demand.
But seriously, it does make a lot of sense. A lot of drivers, truckers, and 4 wheelers are in a hurry when they're stopping for gas. So they are much more likely to spend money on a sandwich when it's right where they are, then check out and spend an extra minute or two to go across the street.
I hope that the same franchiser bought the pilot location, because that one across the street will lose a lot of business now.

The original showers there were awesome (well, as awesome as truck stop showers can get). YMMV

The Subway was owned by the former owners also.
