Good evening,
Just quick question as to what type of trucking would be the best paying. Currently got the ok and can work for either Tidewater Transit pulling chemicals in a smooth bore tank or a flatbed with CT transportation both seem to have similar home time. TWT is paying 25% for new drives and CT is paying .40cpm loaded and unloaded. Just wanted to get some seasoned professionals opinion on which Company is better overall. Thanks in advance

I'd go with Tidewater. You'll always have good paychecks with about any tanker company.
For me, tankers was the best move I ever made in my career.scythe08, 207nomad, Weeble Kneeble and 3 others Thank this. -
Tanker, tanker, although I'm bias having never done flatbed work. But I did do lots of dry van stuff from OTR mega to fedex line, to local ltl, tanker work beats them all. Been in it for over four years now, and hauled everything from oil, chemicals, fuel, to now cryo and I love it.

I have been pulling tankers for ten years and some. I love it. Most of the loads are drop and hook in my case. And in the occasional live load/unload situation more and more is done by plant loaders. No touch. Gravy. I'm spoiled.
scythe08 and jordanfsx29 Thank this. -

@Chinatown say if you pull a load of caustic liquid or an acid to a customer how much is the company charging the customer for that load just want a ball park range.

I think if I would be starting over again, I'd start out in hazmat tanker. That's just because I'm getting bored with flatbed.
Just passing by and Chinatown Thank this.
