Here's a sleeper for ya!New Bern Transport (pepsi). Ya'll should know ahead of time that this is the company that does all the transportation for pepsi, even down to the convenience store deliveries. Setting aside my bias, I will say I do not believe it is the intention of the company for the driver to experience physical injury or harm of any kind. However, the younger generation just coming into this career should be aware of a few problems that I encountered. Be advised, this job will get you home every night. You will be off on weekends and will see your spouse and/or children regularly. You will also lose 25 to 30 pounds in the first month which will improve your BMI and BP for your medical card. Back to the problems. On the local front you will find a surprisingly low level of concern for your physical well being, far below that of sales and profits. The equipment that is supposed to be issued to you by OSHA and company standards may not be provided. If you are under a doctors care, the notice you provide them may not be considered a legitimate excuse upon customer complaint. These are the problems I encountered, and there may be more. If I can save another driver from this experience it will be worth it. Thanks for reading to the end.

I'm starting with new bern transport soon in Illinois, how is the physical agility test? Easy? My bp is kind of high so I'm nervous...

Be advised that you will most likely fingerprint everything on that truck. That alone is enough to make many folks run.

Really, it's probobly better than jumping on/off a garbage truck 700-900 times a day for waste management like I did for 6 years!! Lol......not worried about the physical labor part, just their agility test and hair follicle test should not be a problem

Good luck! Make sure you stand on your right to safe equipment. In Augusta GA, I had to report them to OSHA in order to get a curb ramp.
