I can tell you one thing at kriska ,the us highway drivers are crying the blue’s about how slow it is right now and I would call us a mega carrier we just bought liberty line haul . With the predicted recession coming in the second quarter this year a lot of companies might not be hiring a whole lot. I certainly wouldn’t recommend coming to a kriska right now it’s slow and i’m one of three local guys on nights and even with only 3 drivers we get no work no pay calls

I wouldn’t go near Bison since they got bought out by Richardson. Safety there use to be number one. Now performance takes a lead and safety is just an expense.

Get a bunch of resumes printed up and knock on doors, it is still the way I find every job. Check indeed, note ones you like and pound the pavement.

Look at small manufacturers that have a few trucks as well, often they are always looking for 1 or two drivers, I know we are.

Lots of good AZ jobs out there. We just took a new driver last fall, his licence still has the shine in it. Told our insurance company to put him on, I had to train in truck with him for 3 weeks and be local for another 3 weeks after that but he is hauling over dimensional now.

Heck Thursday he is pulling a 94' load for his first time.

Go in confident and doors will open.

Place your resume in Indeed. It helps. I'd also suggest to checkout Kijiji. There are a lot of independent O/o who might give you that initial opportunity.

We do. If you’re in an area that requires triples, you won’t pull those until the 2 years/150,000 km mark is reached. Must be able to run stateside.

This time of year is when the seasonal companies start looking for drivers. Within the month there will be more ads. Don't panic and jump at some otr company. Work for a seasonal company and learn something useful and if you get laid off in the fall you can go work for a mega if you like punishment lol.

TransX requires 1+yr verified experience. I believe Bison has a finishing program though.

Transforce by 10x if not more. I'd have to check the 2022 Truck Companies by Equipment list.
