This place has changed for the worst I've ever driven for in 28 years. Now they want to compare themselves with Werner swift JB and schnieder. Stay clear of this joke of a company. Same old story here refuse to pay for work done no more home time cheap garbage freight. paperless logs Your just trash with a number here.

all you had to say was "paperless logs"...nuff said. =)
-
You may not like it, but paperless logs will be the norm inside of five years, so I'd get used to it.
Just my pfennig's worth.KillingTime, mjd4277, jldilley and 5 others Thank this. -
I used to go into that rat hole when I was with Werner and Celadon.....i friggin hated going in there what a nightmare....no more than 15 minutes early they told me one time another time it was no early entry at all.....I definitely DO NOT miss going in there
-
Last time I was in there I was the ONLY live unload and it took them five hours to unload me

I'm home almost everyday, and they rarely screw up payroll. It's not the best place to work. but it's not as you make it to be either. -
I was leased to Nestle back years ago they were one of the better ones out there if I were ever to get back into the owner/op game they'd be at the top of my list..

The shipping clerk in Dekalb,IL was the lady that got me fired from Knight Refrigerated.
I was dispatched to pick up a PRE-LOADED trailer the day before Thanksgiving. My trailer was not loaded or even in the dock so I was told to put my trailer in a door to be live loaded.
After 2 hours and no one even locking my trailer to the dock, I go into the office to check on my load, I was told "soon".
2 more hours, still nothing done.
After 6 hours, the expiration of my 14 hour clock, the possibility of me being home in time for Thanksgiving dinner slipping away, being out on the road for 59 days straight,(the dickspatcher allegedly couldn't find a load for me that was going though Ohio on I-80 or I-76) with a new grand daughter who was born Oct 17th that I hadnt seen yet, I finally snapped!!! (Really, who wouldn't, given those circumstances, right???)
Long story short, I threw a mild temper tantrum that "made the shipping clerk cry" and resulted in me being banned from that facilty and subsequently fired by Knight.
It was the best thing that ever happened to me while I worked for Knight!!!
Canned Spam Thanks this. -
I used to watch this place from across the street at 3M. Never did understand why they had truck and employee entrance for vehicles in the same drive. Course I don't miss goin to Dekalb period.
