Hello! I don't know if this topic was covered or not...
Hubby is on the road right now, and he just reported to me that he is sick, and hoping he could get some NeoCitran to take.....
I don't think that's allowed, is it? The decongestant in it will make you test positive in a random drug test, wouldn't it? He just wants to take it at NIGHT, before he goes to sleep...I don't think it would leave his system by the time he had to drive next morning...
NeoCitran during colds...

Typically, any off-the-shelf remedy is not going to contain ingredients that would be part of the FMCSA drug test. Or, if they do contain such ingredients, the concentrations would be minimal. NeoCitran does not appear to be a concern.
NeoCitran ingredients:
- ANALGESIC: Acetaminophen (extra strength) 650 mg
- DECONGESTANT: Phenylephrine hydrochloride 10 mg
FMCSA 5-panel drug screen (49 CFR Part 40 Subpart F):
- Marijuana
- Cocaine
- Opiates – opium and codeine derivatives
- Amphetamines and methamphetamines
- Phencyclidine – PCP
DOT alcohol tests identify alcohol concentration of 0.02 and greater.

Thank you so much for the info!

I was just worried, because I hear these horror stories of Olympic athletes who test positive for drugs when just taking cold remedies

I applied the three actives against a Drug test and found this link. I think the first one is the most dangerous vs a drug test.
If your man is sick, have him park somewhere safe, preferably a hotel or home recover then drive. We are allowed to be sick now and then. Just don't try to drive a big truck while sick.
pseudoephedrine hydrochloride
dextromethorphan hydrobromide
chlorpheniramine maleate
