My father in law drives for Maverick and has been on the road about 18 years so it's hard to come up with a gift for the road he doesn't already have. He's turning the big 6-0 so we wanna get him something nice. He has a good CB, satellite radio, a 12v cooler, GPS, and a laptop. So as you can see it's kind of hard to think of what to get him. Any help ya'll can give would be awesome!!! Thanks.

I didn't see it on your list of major items he has, but does he have a T.V?

Buy him a seat.....not sure what your $$ limit is but a good seat with good support is always appreciated by the aging body.

Well that's another one I forgot to mention. He's got his own seat as well. It might be a bit aged though. What's the latest and greatest in that department?

If he likes to read get him some books or magazine sub. on his favorite subject or one of those deals you can download books on. Or audio books.

If he's been driving a long time, he probobly has all the feature comforts he desires.

I have a gas grill, and a single camping burner for cooking meals.

How about a surround system for his sleeper. It can get kind of loud around the TS's and shippers sometimes. Or a DVD player.

Does he have a power generator.

I would love a cooler full of ice cold beer when I get home. And I mean ICE COLD. Not just ice and beer. Icy water. But does anyone do it...well I do. But it's not the same.

I would like to do that for him but he has to change trucks too much. This new d@mn Freightliner he's got breaks so much he has to change trucks often right now. Between the Jakes on these new trucks malfunctioning and his injectors and engine computers....
