Here's the scenario, I got my cdl temps and have been practicing in my friends truck, when he's home. Unfortunately, that's not too often. I tried a day at a trucking school (only one day because that's all I could afford) I took the pre trip and failed. I've been studying that but I need a truck to practice in!! Any ideas?
Need to practice backing, but no access to a truck, Help!

Whats your end game? Do you have a employer that will hire you if you get a cdl?

Many schools loan out their trucks for the cdl exam, but that doesn't help you practice.
For now you might get a toy truck like what you intend to drive. Yeah it might sound a little weird but now you have something that'll give you an idea of how a truck moves. But practicing with that may help you.
...not to mention, if you hit something with the toy truck the DOT can't fine you and there's no repairs!201, wannabetruckgirl and jdd1071 Thank this. -
A car and a trailer is the same as a semi. If you can back that up you can back a truck up.

I rented an u haul truck with a trailer for a day and spent all day practicing backing up in a Kmart parking lot. Sure, it's not as big as a semi, but it gives you a feeling of the trailer. Next day I was backing up like a pro when I did the test
