Decided to park near my parents since im taking home in texas after i get this load delivered in austin. Theirs a nice flat piece of grass off the road ive parked in before. Well last times i parked i was empty. Im grossed out at 78000 pounds and am stuck in mud. Sorta the trailer on the passenger side found a nice mud hole. Would putting my snow chains on the drives help assuming i can get them on?

Yeah call a wrecker and stay outta the grass

These things get stuck easy even in loose gravel @ that payload.

Could lay some plywood sheets for traction down

Then park on top next time

DH! It sounds like you may be stuck, is it level ground? What kind of truck are you in? does it have a tag axle? What I mean does both drive axles actually have power to them? First off, if you are not on level ground, you can turn the trailer over and it may take the tractor over with it!, You need to tell us a little more information before we can probably help you! Whatever you do, don't get it more stuck! Can the tractor move? is there any sand around you can throw down in the ruts to get a little traction? and get the trailer unstuck? You may want to be a little more careful next time.:yes2557:

Its a 2012 prostar international. It has a pdl switch in the cab that gives both drives power and the ground is level. Even with the pdl and off road switch engaged the tractor cant get enough traction too pull it out. That why i asked if the chains would work. Im not going to keep spinning the drives if they cant grip. Ill make it worse if i do. The trailer is whats got me stuck. And im basing this assumption on the fact that its tilted very slightly towards the passaenger side where the nice mude hole is.

Jack up each wheel. Fill in the ruts with stone. You can also put plywood under wheels if you like. Lock rears and pull out. If you can't get it out, call a wrecker.

Throw chains around the drive tires and pull right out. Avoid calling the wrecker...you will eat that bill.
