OK so my boss has got a low boy and a 3 axle flatbed( 3rd axle is drop axle) and hes getting a laptop and a printer and letting me go at it and be in control of my loads and money ( we have our own authority). Im kinda of nervous but excited at the same time, its like my own but not really if that makes makes since. My question is where would be the best load board or place to look for loads? I have a twic, tank, haz if that matters.I was wanting to get into military moves or something in texas moving loads. What do yall think?

Do you have any load securement training or experience? Are you familiar with the "North American Load Securement Standards"?

To be honest some. My boss bought the lowboy and crane and he sent me up to NY to get it, I chained it down and had no problems back to TX. It was oversized and I grossed out at 108,100 pounds. That was my first oversized/lowboy load I have carried. Im not claiming to be a pro at all Im just taking it easy and being cautious of everything I do.

I would suggest you read and print off a copy of the N/A Load Securement regs and keep it with you as a reference tool. Can you read the markings on your chains and hooks? If they're not rated T70/G70 then they're scrap and you need new ones.

Finding low boy loads of an internet load board is hard to do because they are far and few and for the most part the ones posted are cheap. For a flatbed it is easier, more loads posted. For the money and for what little i use one i use get loaded.
