Hello all,
Happy to be here. Currently I am employed. I tried to run an owner operator business in hotshot industry, and I was realized I was not ready to compete and was losing money. I was inexperienced and not ready. I love the trucking business; I decided to sell everything (Dully Truck and Trailer) and pursue obtaining my CDL license and work for trucking company and spend quality time learning and observing this business and saving money. I love it, but I need to take my time and do it right.
I would like to be a Truck Driver as my career for now. Unfortunately, I loss money already with one CDL training school because the person continues to cancel the class for nearly 2 months and not returning phone calls.
Can you please please please recommend a quality CDL training school in Houston Texas so I can obtain my CDL and start working?
Thank you so much.
Need some help in Houston Texas, CDL School.

I recommend you decide which trucking company you can and will work at for your first year in the seat. After you have made that decision look at which CDL school they hire newbies from. CDL school is not LIKE high school or college. CDL school is rushed and short and the CDL school usually has a few trucking companies give a presentation to students. The students, don't know other trucking companies, jump on those trucking companies, if they are recruiting at CDL school because they are terrible companies to work for.
Once you pick where you want to work, that trucking company may have their own school or hire newbies from one CDL school. The goal is a good trucking job, not the easiest CDL school. You wouldn't focus on the cheapest and easiest wedding ceremony and ignore which woman to marry. Focus on the long-term goal and then use that choice to make short term decisions that accomplish the long-term goal.
Community Colleges and trade schools are usually cheaper and more thorough, but can have long waiting lists to start class. For-profit CDL schools usually have classes starting every Monday. I would avoid any one man, one truck CDL schools.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
