I am considering buying new t 660 and am needing current owners experiences with fuel mileage and reliability, and any likes or dislikes.

I too am debating buying a new T660 as my Western Star is only getting me 5.4mpg on a good day. I figured if i could get 6.5mpg, I'd be saving $900 a month in fuel, and that coupled with my current truck payment equals the SAME cost of a brand new rig..... so I guess I really can't see NOT getting one LOL

I too am looking to spec with an ISX, 3.55's and a 13spd

If i got one it would be my first new truck, the only thing scary is the size of the payments.

I agree, but like I said, with getting 5.5mpg, if I switched to a truck getting 6.5mpg, i would save about $900 a month in fuel over my costs now. So add that to my tractor payment, i could be paying for a brand new rig for the same costs as i am already spending...but of course the loan would be longer than the 2yrs I have now, but the idea of getting a truck from new is kinda nice. The only thing I am worried about is the UREA systems.

I have a freind that drives a company truck t660 with a cummings ,13 speed, 355 and he does really good he only runs 62 to 65 and he always gets in the 7 to 7.8 range loaded. It has alot to do with how you drive .

If I could pull that off, then the truck will pay for itself for sure!!!

Talked with a guy in minnesota last week says his friend bought same setup except with 3.36 rears and claims he gets 8.2 with it .

Those are the exact specs on my 2010 and I get about 7.2 mpg with it. Only had it 2 months and I have not had any problems with it. Had 105,000 miles on it when I got it. Best riding truck I have ever had.
