Need oilfield work info

If you have Tanker and Hazmat and at least 2 years experience you should have NO problem finding a job in Midland Tx. There are signs everywhere. Without hazmat maybe a little longer and not quite so much pay.
The work can be boring as hell or busy depending on what type of job you get. Sand in a pneumatic can be boring, sitting on a staging pad forever. A Job delivering chemicals to rigs (LDI in Midland) can be very busy. Three loads a day strapping and unstrapping a flatbed and unloading with a forklift at location.
Texas does not have a state income tax so you may want to change you license but you probably won't have to.
Drive to Midland/Odessa and look around.

 

Did you call them? I got an email from some guy named Ruben. The email contained a mixed bag of jobs, some trucking, some service company. If you just want to drive stay away from service companies.

 

Back in the day $10k/month was easy working frac on a 7/2 7/2 7/3 schedule.

I suppose a lol might me in order. Their hourly rate is higher now but they work 14/7 At my old camp and do shift work 12-12 plus travel time. Not really sure how it works out now.

 

I'm working in pa as an owner operator hauling franc sand. Rates are low and seem like they're stagnant. Some frac companies are advertising big money to drive as a company drivers but beware of all the little stipulations. For instance one company I haul for advertises 85-90 thousand a year, but in reality they guarantee you a thousand a wk if you haul 1 load a day with bonuses for every load after that. Well you might not even get 1 load off depending on if they're up & running. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Just saying!

Yes you can make that kind of money. And no you don't have to change your cdl. However there are very few companies that will say you have to move to the area.

Work is easy to moderately hard depending on what your doing and for whom. Some work 7 days some wrk 6 some have 5 day wrk wks. If a person is lazy and or a druggie then that individual should stay home.

My high school team mate works in the area and likes it. He's there for the money. But I feel like 75k should be truckers pay across the country. Some companies provide housing. Then others you will live out of the trk. But that's too much like otr to me.

Frac sand and crude oil companies are hiring like crazy. Chemical distribution companies along with well known oil field companies may be better to go with as the ELOGS approach.

 

Is that two years experience with tankers or just two years driving?
