I have 1997 Pete 379 with a Detroit that the speedo isn't working. Already replaced the sensor on the transmission and the speedo head but it still will not work. What else is there that would cause it not to work.

Time to get a new speedometer. I went through 7 on a 2000 Peterbilt 379EXHD. I'd look down and she'd just quit working.

Mine quit the other day on an 03 379EXHD. 5 minutes later it started working again. Been fine so far. Anything in particular I should at when it quits and starts working again. The wiring issue mentioned here seems to make sense. Anywhere in particular I should check for this?

The plug on the back of the speedo unplug it and take a small flathead screwdriver and spread male connections open slightly. Ive done that a time or two on my 98 and worked fine again.
