Hello, don't have money for cdl school, i have cdl permit, also drove trucks some time ago. Need to find a cdl inspector who has or doesn't have a truck, as I can borrow one. Preferably Tacoma area, or anywhere in state of Washington

Isn't there a required amount of classroom instruction to get a CDL in WA?

May want to check with the fine folks at Work Source to see if they can set you up for a grant to get it.

Not sure if the Community Colleges closer to you have a certificate program may want to check in with them.

It's a federal thing now. Ya can't just go take the test. You have to have went through an accredited fmcsa approved driving school to be able to get your CDL now.

FMCSA's Training Provider Registry improves highway safety by ensuring that entry-level drivers of commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) complete training as required by the new Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) regulations before testing for certain commercial driver's licenses (CDLs) and CDL endorsements.

You have to complete Entry-Level Driver Training from a recognized training provider. You cannot get a CDL anymore by practicing on "some guy's truck".

There is a link to a list of ELDT providers on that page.

Dang, that's a great deal for someone trying to get into trucking. $900/week guarantee, wow.
