I saw a few older threads on this but i am giving personal clout to this handy scanner. For the money it is well worth the money, I can scan any kind of a receipt and it recongnizes the amount where it was from and the tax all in one scan (very sledom do i have to make adjustments). I typically just stuff receipts in a manilla envelope and take care of it later, well later came up and i found a fast easy way to do. I did 3 months worth of receipts in an hour and can put them in the files acording to either it be for maintenace, tires, fuel etc. which later goes to an excell spread sheet. This has been a serious time saver for me and others should look into it. Still need to keep your receipts and keep them seperate. Here is link to the product. For others that are starting to run smarter and not harder this is a product that will help.

Scanning is much better. If you have Excel, set up a spread sheet and then tax time is a piece of cake.

My bank is about to implement your own check scanning online too. You won't even have to go to the bank after that.

there are many NEGATIVE customer reviews, mostly regarding software

I used the Neat scanner to send in paperwork through Transflo...or whichever one it was that Prime used. The format was recognized by the accounting system. The only thing that would never come out right was the CAT scales, so I just photocopied them. It more than paid for itself. I have not used it for my receipts.

I don't have room in my truck for a desktop all in one. And this little scanner fits almost anywhere.

Well I guess I know what I will be buying next. Transflo and trippack in cab didnt work with my 1 yr old epson flatbed all in one.

I was told your scanner has to be Twain interface capable, but even though that format was not listed on the Neat scanner, it worked anyway. Just in case it doesn't work for you, though, don't throw away the packaging. You'll have 30 days to return it.

I use it for scanning all kinds of stuff now. You can convert your scans to jpg and email them.

Yep thats what they say (twain compliant) and my epson is and so I thought it would work but the software just kept barking at me that it wasnt on its "twain compliant" list. This sounds like a good scanner, guess will have to check it out more as I really like the size of it
