I notice A leak not a terrible one from the front of the head looks like mostly oil? Not to much water but you can smell coolent a bit. Temp seems to be staying ok. Runs up to 210 when working but the fan will cool it right down to 180. No coolent appears to be in oil and vise versa. Is this a big job to replace? How much on average? How dangerous is this to run on? And what to watch for? Thank You

Just went out to look at it again hah.. Annnndddd I noticed the 3/4 inch bolts on the very front tords the belts were loose to the touch.. Tightend it wonderin if that will help..BTW the truck dosnt use much of any water if it even uses any!

Water runs down hill eliminate all possible water leaks before condemning the head gaskets.

wash it down good and check after it gets hot----might be a cold leak and disapear after the engine heats up

Check for the cold leak but you were smart to tighten the bolts. Give it a ride then check it out. Good luck!
