N-14 Cummins SID 254 FMI 8 Fuel Pump Control Module

1999 N-14 Celect Plus. Engine is cutting out a little at acceleration. This is an active code.

    Any thoughts?

It also has a SID 23 FMI 5 which shows on Prolink as Rack Actuator. Not even sure why that would come up on an N-14.

I don't see anything with that code. There are a couple with PID 254, FMI 12 which are internal faults to the ECM. Main cause is poor grounds, moisture or a faulty engine position sensor.

Yeah I told the customer that most the time a 254 is a ECM or wiring harness or both issue. The SID 254 FMI 8 number I only see in a fault code book and can find no further information. That other code for rack code makes no sense at all. I might tell him to take it to someone that has cummins software.

    Thanks Heavy.
