Im sure the subject line will lure some good jokes, but anyway.....
I hit the switch to air up my seat, it raises normally, then slowly loses the air over a minute or two. Of course my first thought is that there is a leak to find, but was wondering if there is anything else I could check? I looked all around under the seat, and couldnt see anything abnormal or hear any leaks. Please help!
My seat won't hold air

Check the line and fittings. Make sure nothing is pinching the line.
Flatbedder73 Thanks this. -
Mine did the same thing, and it was the fitting where the hose went into the airbag. It took different amounts of time to deflate, depending on how much bouncing was going on.
Shop never would fix it, and I got tired of hitting the air button a couple hundred times a day, so I tried to just flat out rip the line out of the bag, and the leak stopped.Flatbedder73 Thanks this. -
ok...will look where the bag is.....thanks!

What kind of truck?

I had a KW that did that. Air line was chafed from rubbing against the seat frame.

Really just asking to be a smart ###--but since u said Columbia--its obvious it wants to be aPete
Couldn't help it -
I have a 2012 Freightliner Cascadia, and my seat sometimes does the same thing. What I have found is that the switch that I push to raise or lower my seat sticks occasionally. When I get up and out of the truck, I can hear the air leaking out and if I stand and watch it, I can see the seat go to the lowest point. I just tap the switch until it stops leaking air. But I suppose I could just clean the switch and see if it keeps it from sticking too. Hope this info helps.

blow the seat up to normal height with you in the seat. about the truck if so you can hear, get out and put your head under the seat, if you still don't hear an air leak, spray all fittings, the airline, and air bag with a soap and water solution, if you still don't see or here the leak, it's most likely the check valve, unfortunately that's usually built into the switch
