5 years for someone like me to come along and respond?! Yep!
R&D Trucking in FLorence???? The best? Lets get real, R&D was a trucking company run by a guy named John Robbins. A man who turned to ........ well, lets just say I know more than I am going to put out on the net, but obviously anyone who liked this company didn't know the truth.
As for the D of R&D L.E. Draper, he was a trucker and a fine man to boot. -
Kreilkamp Trucking (reefer) out of WI and NJ
Jp Donmoyer (dry bulk) out of a few places in the east -

Some good people but allot of illegal activity. Elston Draper was over the shop for many years, Charlotte Draper was a wonderful dispatcher. L.E. came back in 84 and let John have it for treating drivers like crap. I don't know who you are or when you were there but I go way back with them. Back to when they only had 20 trucks. L.E. could only do so much, John had the final word and it wasn't always in L.E.'s favor. Mac Brooks years ago was a really great guy, but once he got caught by the IRS he got involved in shaddy stuff also. I knew these people personally.

Yeah Mac was a great guy.I had John(fat man)for dispatch. He was a good man.I agree with the shady activities that went on,but all in all i was content there and made good money.I worked there when they had a waiting list for people to get hired.I actually took my time off in Florence and would bobtail over from Courtland.I was one of the first to lease on with them.I think at the time there was only me and another fellow that were o/o.I would probably know you to see you.

Mac was a back stabbing ##### later on. John??? don't remember a John right off. Don Head was my dispatcher after he came off the road for a short time. Sandy was outbound dispatch. Can't remember Mac's buddy who dispatched.....if you were there then you should know him. Also, if you were one of the first O/O who was the one with the IH Transtar? Safty guy came from Monarch tile. but in the mid 80's when the company was up for sale east-west and cardinal was going to buy them out. How did John make the money to get them out of trouble and buy all those other trucks and pay for the yard in Courtland? If you know this then you know me.
