Hi can someone please help me out to understand that I have insurance under my company name and used someone else’s dot to get plates now my truck have everything, but some one told me I can not drive under other person’s dot or authority when I already used his to get my registered, so can some help me to understand that can I drive under his authority and whose company name will go to truck his or mine thanks

If you will be running under his authority, his name and numbers wii have to be on the truck, I also put leased to on my signs.
I would expect to have to at least have his company listed as additionally insured, but it is generally cheaper to run under their insurance, he will have to have, or should have a general liability policy that covers you. -

I would think that his company will have to have a certificate from your insurance listing him as additionally insured. He will have to have proof that anything pulling freight with the bills in his name is insured, plus any truck that has his name on it. There may be other requirements too, I do not know. I used to run several OO lease trucks, but they all ran under my insurance.
