Ok my tire front right tire has wear on outside egde. I checked bearing, kingpins, All ok actually checked the whole front end. The only thing I see is the front spring has a little gap and there is a washer in there. Looks like you could get another washer in there to tighten up the gap. But the tire is wore. I did another alignment. And the truck seems to still be pulling to the right. I was wondering if that is because of the wear pattern that developed. Because once the tire wore that pattern it actually drove straight except it is wearing on the edge and killing the tire. Thanks
My front right Steer Tire has outside edge wear. Will it fix itself after alignment?

You need to set the rear axle alignment, if it is not set about 1/8 inch to the right it will wear the front tires, just because you end up with continual left steering to correct it.
You do need to have the front axle checked not only toe in but making sure the front axle is square with the frame, you measure that from a center point at the back to the axle or the rims if they are round and the wheels straight ahead.
Just a thought!Big Lou Thanks this. -
once you get a funny wear pattern the tire will continue to wear like that until it is replaced even if the problem is corrected. and it can cause a pull. basicly what happens is where you get the wear that part of the tire is now a smaller dia. than the rest of the tire so as the tire rotates the more worn part of the tire is now trying to turn less distance per revolution of the tire than the other part of the tire and it will keep scrubbing itself till the tire is no longer useable. i would just run the tire out and then replace it. if you want you can swap the tires from one side to the other and see if the pull follows the tire.

Thanks will try to flip tires to see what that does first and go from there. Thanks!

Flipping the tire would be your best shot at being able to run out out longer. Once a tire gets a wear pattern in it, it's usually there to stay, unless you catch it really early.

If I were you, I would not play with Steer tires. I would have the whole truck aligned, rears and steer, and put 2 new steers. Move the ones you take off to the back. Preferably the trailer.
Just my 10 pesos, or about 2 cents.EZX1100 Thanks this. -
I had wear on one front tire and i flipped it around on the rim..It was gone in 2 weeks..Lost at least 20k-30k miles of useable life.

I've had a similar problem. I had the toe set 3 times 2 sets of king pins and no change. Truck pulled hard right and always wore the steer tires uneven. Found a alignment shop who told me bring the truck in with a new set of steers. Apparently they cold bent the axle to correct the camber, set the toe and shimmed the drives. The truck now hold the road and does not pull to the crown what so ever. Tires have also been wearing great.

That's great! I have Samson Tires. They are cheap from China. I heard that they have had issues with there wear but the truck still pulled to the right so I don't know if that had anything to do with tires. What shop was that that straight out the axle
