I've noticed that people only post something we they are pissed off, Noone posts to say they enjoyed their service from a company or that their truck was a great truck for 5 years so here's my little bit.
I bought a used 2008 peterbilt c15 and was told a million wonderful lies by the salesman at the stealership. The truck came with a powertrain limited warranty (cost a couple grand I think). Well I owned it 2 months and had nothing but issues from day one, didn't even put 20,000km on it and the #3 piston ring gave out...... trucks got 1.5 million km on it So i expected it, just not before my first oil change.
The dealership wasn't owning up to anything so I was praying premium 2000 would at least cover something. To my suprise, they paid for the tear down and the entire bottom half to be rebuilt. They wouldn't cover the head as it hadn't failed but the valve seats were so worn that I decided to do the top end and turbos as well.
All he asked was for my maintenance history in which I told him I hadn't gotten to one yet hahaha. And that was the only time I had to even talk to them besides the original 5 minute call. Now I am left paying a $13,000 bill yes but for $2000 it's makes sense. I am getting a complete rebuild for half price.
I can see how p 200 could get in a lot of crap as their limited parts covered list leaves out some common failing parts but my experience was a great one.
my experience with premium 2000 warranty.

Bought a c15...with 932,000 miles...and didn't expect it to eat a ring or valve?
You ought to be upbeat, most c15's self destruct at 700,000 miles and take a good portion of the lower drivetrain with em.
/shrug
you're buying a bad name with them anymore. -
So a C-15 head rebuild and 2 turbos is 13 grand ? And that's a deal ? I'm asking........not insulting.......
I've never owned a Cat but was always told I could get a full reman at Cat ( premium ) for 20k..... which doesn't fit with what you said.....Cetane+ Thanks this. -
I sent the head out for testing as well the turbos. Premium 200 covers a maximum of $110/hr shop rate. The cat shop here is $150/hr. Plus keep in mind the biggest thing, I'm in canada. Everything always seems to be cheaper down there, weaker canadian dollar plus extra freight charges I think.

In my neck of the woods a platinum rebuild on a sdp cat is gonna run about $35,000.
