Pay, I received a $3200 sign on bonus that is payed in $800 payments every 90 days for the first year. Training pay for orientation and on the job training with your trainer is $160 a day. So far I have been making between $1000 to $1300 a week gross. I will have to look up the exact mileage pay when I get home, also I get a raise after 90 days.

Home time, There are three ways you can run. Local, Regional and System. local drivers are home every day, Regional are home on the weekends and some times during the week and system drivers stay out as long as they want to. Some guys I talk to stay out as long as a month. I am running kind of a mix of regional and system. I live within 45 min of the Morris terminal so some weeks I will run regional around Indiana, Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and Nebraska and be home on the weekends and a few times durning the week when I make it back to the terminal. This week I went in the system and bounced around to a few different terminals. I left out of Morris Sunday night and I will be home tomorrow night. I have had other drivers tell me they will always get you home when you want, even if that means running back to your home terminal empty 700 miles.

Equipment, Most of the trailers are older but they seem to keep them up well. They are currently buying new trucks. The majority of the fleet are the flat top petes like my truck. They also have Freightliner Columbias and Cascadias, International pro stars and the new trucks are Volvo Mid roofs. So far anytime I have had an issue with my truck the shop gets it fixed right away with no issues. I had my water pump go out when I was loading at the terminal last week. They put me in a spare truck for a few days and had my truck fixed by the time I got back to the terminal.
As far as the hiring area you can look up the terminal locations on the website and see the closest one to where you are located.

Thank you for all of that! I appreciate it!

About how many miles a week have you run to gross that much, if you don't mind my asking? And are there any other accessorial pay (ie. Load/unload, breakdown, layover, etc)?

Thank you, again! I'm thinking on giving recruiting their a call. I talked to a driver at the petro in Racine, wi one wintery night while I was helping him try to get unstuck!

Sure no problem, For example one week my gross was $1,287.52 and I drove 2,246 miles
Starting per mile rate is .44 cents a mile loaded and .28 cents a mile empty. after 90 days it goes up to .47 cents loaded and .31 cents empty. Then after you hit your bonus for three months you go up to .50 cents loaded and .32 cents empty.

$40.00 to load and $40.00 to unload. They have detention pay at $20 an hour if you are at a shipper or receiver for over 2 hours.
Break down pay is $200.00 a day.

That's a beautiful truck. My friend use to work their but he failed a hair follicle test so he's done. Pretty sure he's done driving all together. Haven't talked to him in a year r two but he had a good gig there. Good luck I'll be following as I'm interested in AR myself.

I was down at the Highland Texas Terminal this week. Most of the owner operators run out of that terminal and they have some bad ### trucks. After talking to one of the owner operators it has me considering buying a truck some time in the next few years.
Here is a few pictures of some of the owner operator trucks

Those are beautiful! Put my application in talked to Kayla she was nice. I'm if hired on and after everything will be out of the Springfield, Ma terminal. Not sure on regional or OTR yet but I'm leaning towards OTR. They answered all my questions hoops fully I get in here. Guess I would fly into IL for training and what not. She said they don't do the hairt test anymore so I wonder why that is? Anyways, I asked about trucks she said mostly freightliner and kenworths where I'm at. Shoot, 379 would be sick. Anyway just figured i would post. Don't want to take over your thread so I'll pipe down from now on.

Good to hear! One of the guys that was in my orientation class was going to be working out of the Springfield MA terminal and they flew him into IL. After the week orientation you will go back to your home terminal and then train for two weeks with a trainer from your terminal. They are looking to hire something like another 100 drivers over the next year so i'm sure they will offer you a job.
