Hello all, I would like to share my experience with all of you . I have been driving for the past year for MBI aka Mr. Bults. This outfit is a trash hauling company. I did local work for them. I worked 11-12 hours a day. So, my day started at about 5am and I would get home around 5-5:30pm. I did 3 loads a day. Picked up and delivered to either landfills or incinerators. I worked about 57-60 hours a week monday to friday. They pay by the load. My loads paid anywhere from $50.00- $75.00 per load. About $180.00 a day. And trash is "HEAVY" I grossed out at 102- 103,000 pounds .So, out of a 12 hour day about 3 hours where either waiting to load or unload. Now, for me I averaged about $15.50- $16.50 an hour at straight time. Some guys made more and some made less.
For the work I did? I will say it was not worth it. Getting up in the trailer full of trash and knocking down crap the excavator missed ect. It was dirty, it stunk and the warmer it gets outside the more that #@*$# stinks.
Now from the info that I put together by going online and talkin to other drivers I will say this job is worth at least $20.00 an hour plus OT after 8. Their tires are always blowin out. They recap them 6-7 times. Plus I always had some sort of mechanical problems on a weekly basis. Now when you wait to unload your first 2 hours are "free". After that it's $12.00 an hour. Same with breakdown pay. That's $12.00 an hour also. But I tell you what. Take your car to a garage and tell your mechanic his first 2 hours are "free" and see what he tells you. Now , some guys love the company. But for me, trash hauling ain't my thing. Their holidays where if you had a holiday on a Monday you would work Saturday to make up for it. That's not a real holiday. I got paid for it . So, I left and that was that. They have a hard time keeping help. But some guys do stick around. I am not here to bash them or say how bad they are and how I got screwed over by them. I am putting this on here just to share my personal experience with all of you. Thanks.

Hey all, Just to update things , I got my last pay settlement from MBI. I worked 3 days/ 34 hours. I did 8 loads Monday/ Tuesday/ Wednesday . So, I grossed $478.00. That works out to $14.00 an hour. Like I said. I've done the job. I know what its worth. I',m happy that I am out of it. Not for that kind of money. But I am gonna look into hauling gas tankers. I have experience with tankers and got all the necessary endorsements and twic card. At least that will pay by the hour. Thanks!!

I've seen these bums moved in to the new England region.
I cringe every time I'm near one of their trucks.
Love my local guys. All the local companies are good. They need to go back to wherever they came from.
