I have a 2022 Freightliner Cascadia. It's my understanding that my driver's seat is held up by air pressure. My driver's seat keeps slowly sinking down while I drive. I have to raise my seat about every two or three minutes when I am driving.

Also, when I dropped my loaded trailer at the receiver this afternoon, I heard a loud air leak that seemed to be coming from the area around my 5th wheel or my drive wheels.

Could the air leak around my 5th wheel/drive wheels be related to why my driver's seat keeps sinking down when I am sitting in it?

When a driver's seat keeps sinking down, what is usually the cause?

Are you loosing air pressure when dropping trailer. Had you just dumped your air bags?

I would assume you have a small air leak under your chair which is causing chair to lose pressure. Accelerated by you sitting on the seat.

Maybe put something heavy on the seat then air it all the way up. Shut off the truck and yoy can put your head down by the seat controls and listen.

I didn't watch the air pressure gauges when I dropped the trailer, so I don't know if I am losing air pressure when I dropped my trailer. I did not dump my air bags.

switch on seat may be sticking a bit and leaking off air...thats been my experience. fiddle with switch and find the sweet spot.

You're losing air somewhere and it probably has nothing to do with the seat (the seat is just a symptom).

I frequently hear a loud leak around the 5th wheel/drive wheels immediately after i drop a trailer. Could the leak around my 5th wheel be related to my seat sinking down?

Well, I've woke up in the morning (more than once), started the truck and my seat was down on the floor.

All I know is that any air leak anywhere can cause it.

When loading or unloading the "air leak" could be the leveler valve adjusting height.
Your seat as others have mentioned.
