You didn’t get fired so that’s good.

    Lots of
    lessons learned here .
Don’t post ANYTHING on social media .

Unless your coworkers have earned their way into your circle of trust , do NOT share anything with them that could come back and haunt you .

I have co workers that I trust completely with any news . We’ve worked together long enough and they are the type of folk that won’t rat you out .

I also have co workers that I KNOW will throw me under the bus in a flash , on a conference call with the client .

and I’m sure the rest fall somewhere in the middle .

I have a FB page that’s not even my real name and I only use it for joining interest groups for buying and selling parts for my cars and equipment

I do not have an account on ANY social media

    not instagram
    Not ticktock
    Not Twitter
    Not anything

I used to have one on Linked In
But I do not post anything , it was just done when I was looking for a job .

I am on some pages for cars or jeep riding or fishing or whatever , but those are all anonymous,

oh and I also learned with those pages , never use the same screen name handle on more than one group .

I make up a different handle name for each one ,
The method I use to make up the name is this :
I close my eyes for a minute and listen and the first distinctive noise I hear is the new screen name .

    Carpenter Bee
    Wednesday Trash Truck
    Neighbors Barky Dog
    Etc

or open my eyes and the first thing I focus on
    Squirrel Nest
    Squeaking Hawk

Anymore these days, if you on the roadway or that vehicle moving through a parking lot you better leave that phone alone.
I sware the other day had a day cab driver holding his phone high in the air looking at the thing in traffic jam, like wtf people just put the phone down

I hesitated to chime in, because in all actuality this forum is a part of social media as well, and I try to stay as far away from the junk as possible. Simply put, from my perspective, who cares why you stopped away from the stop bar? What motivates you, or anyone, to feel like the whole world needs to know why you choose to stop behind the line? Social media is such a crutch to this world, I deleted FB years ago when I realized how addicted I was to it, just like the rest of this nation, every stop light I'd roll up to, I'd scroll the same useless posts. I could go on, but I won't because I don't really feel like arguing my point, but you got what you deserved, I'd be thankful it was so lenient, stay off your stupid phone in the truck when you're on duty. It doesn't seem you're getting the reception you were probably looking for, but so be it, you asked, we told.

If your company has a 'no handheld devices while driving' policy, that's that And anyway, what's wrong with stopping behind the stop line? As long as you start moving when the light turns green, who have you harmed? There've been times that if I had pulled all the way up, I would have been in the way of a turning vehicle, because the line was painted too close to accommodate some trucks or buses.

And yeah, stay off social media. Friend is not a verb.

I'm under an assumed name on FB, with a photo of someone else as my profile pic. There are zero photos of me on there. There are only photos of my dogs.

You guys gotta realize the danger of what you think is a fun site for dumb fun and keeping in touch with family: though this (allegedly) was never the intent of social media, you're doing data collection and surveillance on YOURSELF.

Employers demand access to your social media sometimes, and that's creepy as ####. Thankfully I don't have one. John Smith may have one, but Ltlanonymous certainly doesn't.

There is no such policy about handheld devices except as stated by law. There was no one behind me at the stop line. It really has nothing to do with the stop line, actually.

I don't know who needs to read this.... well, yes I do; nearly 90% of ya'll who failed to grasp what was being asked lol. 90% of you either responded with remarks about stop lines, or remarks about social media. Only a few were actually intelligent enough to extract the essence of the question: the severity of taking a pic at a stop light when the company vehicle is stopped. For the rest of you, I read a few lines, and once I realized you missed the point I stopped reading, and went to the next comment. LOL I know what is safe and unsafe. And I think it is absurd to think that taking a pic at a stop light is unsafe. But we are not allowed to act within the boundaries of what's considered common sense anymore. Everything is regulated and over regulated. We have to bend the knee to our overlords.... the nannies.

When I took a position as safety and training coordinator they wanted me to register all my phones and download an app that lets them view and track what I do. I signed thier paperwork and they then asked for my numbers and to download the app. I smiled and told them they would need to buy me a phone, pay any monthly charges if they wanted anything more as I have no phone or internet in my name! I am not legally obligated nor allowed to give access to others phones or internet. What a fiasco that caused!

Like LT Anonymous I still don’t and most likely never will.
