It looks like 3 plastic fittings on my MX13 need to be replaced with brass ones. 2 are behind the turbo and it only looks like 1 on the back of the motor.
Do any of you have tips for replacing these. I heard they'll probably break when I try to get them out.
Can I reach the one behind the head if I take off the filter assembly?
Thank you

They can break off which you will have to extract the broken threads. I have a couple small guys that can reach behind with the air cleaner off. Its blind and by feel and very tight.
Only other choice really is to pull the shifter cover.Flint1, BoxCarKidd and Edjahman Thank this. -
They have been known to break while going down the road and dump all your coolant in a hurry.

Yeah thats why I'm replacing them. I have to do the water pump so I was going to do these also.

I was hoping to get to the one behind the head by removing the air filter assembly.
Anyway. Thank you for the information!Goodysnap Thanks this. -
As to getting them replaced also ensure you check for the and i kid you not....PAPER gaskets, it tends to leave bits behind that do really really bad things to your coolant system.Edjahman Thanks this. -
Internal pipe wrench works swell if they do twist off. These can be had at any hardware or home depot. The plastic threads turn out pretty easy after the hex and the oring break off.
