The before turbine pressure sensor tube. How does that come off? I took the bolt out of the upper right side underneath and it didn't want to budge so I left it alone because it made me too nervous.
I assume the bpv after tube is similar.
I did manage to pull the boost pressure sensor and clean that. It was actually in pretty decent shape.
The pressure sensor before turbine was also not too bad at all.
That's all I got to today.
Thank you for the information.

I assume that's the venturi tube that the sensor is bolted to?
So it's best to completely remove it to clean the ports etc?
Thank you -
I don't want to become a pain for asking too many questions.
This seems quite a bit more involved then the 4 sensors that I changed on my cummins x15 that I used to have.
I'm more then willing to keep plugging away at this because I really want to learn.
Besides I'm stuck with my mx13 for quite some time to come.
If it's running really great, is it still worth it to check and clean all of these?
I assume it's better to stay ahead of problems then just wait until it doesn't run properly.
Thank you.
You can tell me to enroll in paccar school if I'm too much. -
Your doing fine.
You can check the tubes on the truck. Run a piece of mechanics wire threw them or a can air duster can also help clean the components.
@spsauerland wasnt kidding about using his own lungs. Put a length of hose on the pipe or sensor port just push and seal with hand pressure. Blow threw the hose to ensure no pressure blockage. Removal and manual cleaning is the best possible long term outcome. I dont remove them either unless I suspect an issue with one of them.
The only thing your missing is the EGR cooler flush. Leave this one to the shop and special tools. -
I actually found an independent shop in burkeville va the other week that works on paccar.
I was just talking to them about an egr cooler flush. No way I'd tackle that by myself.
Appreciate all of the help here a lot!
Thank you -
Once o-rings is exposed, usually grap tube by hand and wiggle it loose. It's some sort of DIN flare fitting on manifold side. I always replace o-rings, if need P/N I can get it for you. To pop tube back in, I lube both sides with small amount of anti-seize. Start the side to manifold first a turn, then grab a long pry bar to leverage against manifold bolt to get it back in.
Works good for me!
Sorry took awhile to respond, I don't get on here as much lately. I was happening to be working one today so snapped the pictures. This truck has just rolled over 500,000 miles and is getting it's 2nd DPF cleaning. On our EPA 13 tractors, I also clean the EGR cooler @ the second DPF cleaning. Actually pretty easy to remove on EPA13 and 17's. Same place the cleans our DPF's will flush our EGR coolers with same flush as Paccar cleaner, then ultrasonically clean it, then put in kiln for final clean for $150.00. They come back very clean. -

So I finally checked all of the air management sensors and cleaned them etc.
I also got the EGR cooler flushed.
Thank you very much for the information!
spsauerland Thanks this. -
I appreciate you guys on the forums a lot!

Hello everyone, so i got a quick question, does a paccar mx13 of a KW T680 have a sensor call like "Time sensor" or something like that?
