Mx 13 egr valve

    can you unplug or trick egr valve to stay closed on mx 13? They guys that programmed mine obviously didnt and my oil is getting black 1000 miles after oil change.

    1000 miles? this is normal, if you "increase" and maintain your service frequency, you can bring it back to more of an iridescent black as opposed to a sooty black. This is the color of engine oil. This can only be good for any motor.

    No its not normal. My last delete would run close to 8000 miles before oil started turning from gold to black

    What was last engine?

    Here is what I know. If you unhook the rod connecting the valve to the controller the ecm will derate you 20%. And they will not recalibrate the egr. Only replace the whole thing.

    And it's all the same turbo, and egr as an isx.

    You need a good mechanic to also go into and tune the ecm. If they cant or won't they are a hack job.

    Well your half right. Turbo is Holset on both. EGR is nothing alike.

    I’ve never owned a Diesel engine that didn’t turn the oil black in short order.
