Hey so I work for national carriers not a horrible starting out company I’ve been doing it a little over a year. I’m looking for something where I can still make my miles an be home a little more so Mesilla valley transport is offering me a job and I’m hesitant because of reviews but there’s not many recent reviews does anybody know anything about them ?

My bad I should have clarified I’ll be make about 16 more cents per mile and it’s a regional dedicated route so I feel like I could make about the same with a little more home time if I can make my miles. The goal is local but no one will take me yet until my 2 years hits I’m in Dallas/ Fort Worth Texas. I’m probly gonna end up getting my hazmat an tanker soon so my options will open up a little bit.

You’ll make a whole lot more money in an LTL gig, UPS, or private fleet (Publix, Kroger, Love’s, Race Trac, etc). Suffer 1-2yrs and flip that experience into one of these better gigs where you’ll make way more per year and be home every day.

I'd say thats improvment as long its not those bogus bonuses like safety bonus or video money bonus things had a few companies tell me do X then y and z only to always fall short and they make every excuse not to pay it out even when I did it all lots bad companies willing do anything prevent drivers getting ahead and giving only empty promises.

They're in and out where I work all the time. We get a lot of Mexico loads that they haul in. 99% of the time it's 2 guys in a truck, I'm guessing a trainer and trainee. A language barrier can be an issue at times. I have no idea what they pay but I get the feeling most of their drivers that do OTR long haul don't have a lot of experience. I have no idea what their regional dedicated opportunities or drivers would be like.
Good luck with what you can find out.Suspect Zero Thanks this. -
Had a friend just quit National Carriers. He wasn't happy with the miles.
I drive regional intermodal for JBHunt out of Haslet. It's a decent living. It's not perfect but reliable and respectful (except I hate driver facing camera). They also have lots of local home every night opportunities here and all around DFW. They would be happy with one year of experience for sure.North Pole Nightmare and lual Thank this.
