muffler insert installation

    anyone have first hand experience installing quiet core muffler inserts,and, can you offer any tips on installation? Putting them in 7" pipes.

    They go in from the bottom. You need a few hands to hold the pipe, a big hammer, block of wood, and a lot of patience. They can be a real pain. I've done 2 of my trucks

    I always liked the look but the straight pipe sound wouldn't work for me, how do your trucks sound with the muffler insert?

    My last truck had them pre installed in 6" pipes. They resonated around 1500 rpms. A little loud at times but sounded good.

    I was hoping they could be drawn in or machine shop pressed in.

    As soon as I get my single 7 incher put on that just showed up I'll be sure to let you guys know what I think. I found it pretty easy as I let Dynaflex push them in for me.
