Howdy all, I need to replace my mud flap hangers. They are 2" bolt spacing. I ordered spring loaded hangers today (and returned the 2.5" ones I accidentally bought).

I noticed on the ones I returned the bolts are placed vertically. My truck has the holes horizontally. Does this matter? I should be able to twist the hanger with the springs, right? Please don't tell me I ordered the wrong ones again...

    Hmmmmm.

Mine are the strait or "deluxe" ones. Got one at Freightlinershaker.

It looks like they are pure aftermarket, cause it looks to me like the holes in the frame rail are custom.

I tore the driver side off, and the new one matched the holes, but no way those holes are from the factory.

No I don't think you will be able to twist anything. There is a backing plate of sorts that kind of centers the hanger on the bracket. With most ive seen anyway. I would just drill new holes to match the hangers you like

I decided to keep the 2.5" hangers and drilled new holes. Problem solved. Thanks all
