is there a kit to move your peterbilt mirrors off the door? getting readt to paint truck and was thinking this might be a good time. truck is a 2003 379 exhd

You should be able to go to a wrecker and get the whole mirror assemblies from '05 - '07 379/378 and rivet/bolt them on. There is a casting that is riveted to the cab to hold the lower arm. This has a cover (SS, Alum, Chrome I don't recall). I would recommend buying the castings new rather than used as they have a tendency to fracture. Should be an easy conversion but likely won't be cheap. Before purchasing parts, examine a 05-07 to make sure that the cabs are identical but I can't see why they wouldn't be.

I like mine attached to the door. This way I can open the door and look out the mirror at different angles instead of leaning halfway out the door.
I have a '04, and our other drivers keep telling me they wish they had my mirrors. -
I have had pete's with the mirrors om the door and now have a 07 386 and I sure miss being able to use the door to move the mirror when backing.

Yes you can get all tge parts from peterbilt. $1500.09 for both sides
