Motor oil in fuel filter housing

It is probably not oil. It is just the remnants of the ###### fuel that is sold these days. It looks like oil and even stains your hand like oil when you run your finger down a pleat. It really good at plugging filters too. Some might say it is alge but it's not.

It's asphaltenes coming out of the fuel from the fuel being heated in the engine then returned to the tank to cool.

I notice that more and more places (minnesota especially) are having more biodiesel in their fuel.
And filters are not liking it nearly as much. -
Some states only allow bio disel to be sold. Look at the pumps in Illinois next time you fill up. Also many large chains sell only bio diesel. Check out Loves next time you fill up, most of them sell only the bio. Asphaltines or whatever we never used to have this problem like we do now. That is why I said it is the ###### fuel being sold today. I still run an old engine so it does not have the higher temps like the newer electronic engines but I still get filter clogged with the black goop.
