I was wondering what trucks were the most comfortable to drive for big/tall drivers. I personaly am 6'5 325. My truck experience has been limited to a Ford L9000, Freightliner FLD120, FL70 and FL80. My biggest complaint of all of them is leg room.

Truck interiors are built and spaced based on standard body types, and then they add in a certain amount of adjustability for larger and smaller body types. Since you are more at the outer edge of the size standards than in the middle, you are going to have more problems with fit than most people do. My suggestion, regardless of the brand, would be to look for a truck with a raised roof section in the cab area, vice a standard level roof. A few inches there makes a big difference. I have about a 4 inch rise in the roof compared to my previous truck, and it makes a lot of space difference. Raising the seat allows you increases in leg room, and as long as you don't tread too far into the roof space you can move up.

Ensure that the truck has a full opening behind the seat into the sleeper, so that the seat can go back the full amount without any interference with the back wall. That allows you to move the seat back as appropriate, and again, it makes a difference in the available legroom. If you are using a daycab, consider one of the models that has a slightly extended area behind the seats, vice a straight close rear wall.

You may have to change out a seat to be fully comfortable, but most seat makers do have a heavier duty model usually built with extra shocks or heavier components for heavier drivers. In a normal seat, a heavier driver may overwhelm the suspension and cause it to bottom on bumps, and the heavier sprung seats are made to solve this issue.

Foot room is always the biggest issue, since there is limited adjustability in pedals and their placement. You'll just have to try different models and see what works best for you. I know our larger drivers have complained about the crampedness of the Mack interiors, but I find it just find at my size. But I fit more into the average, and that makes the difference for me.

I'm 6'4", 3 bills with size 13EEE feet. I run a 2011 Prostar, and it's been comforable for me. Prior to this one, I ran a 2009, and the seat was miserable! This one is a big improvement.
